Book Review Sites
I like Good reads, it has a community base and it is set up to help reader read books and help authors find readers. It is not just a news letter or a group like many of the other author pages. GoodReads really tries hard to make everyone feel at home. It even gives a place to comment with friend about books and know what books your friends are currently reading and want to read. Good value
Actually this site has a real genuine vibe to it, they really want to help authors promote their book and help get them started. I really like this website, it is a great way to meet other authors and get some great tips.
I think Book is more of a news letter and I am not sure of its value, I paid some money for marketing on this newsletter but did not get a return on my investment here.
I did not really get any benefit from this one either ? - Seams to be a very selective newsletter, It would be good to know how big these sites databases really are because I think they exaggerate a lot when they are asking for money to promote your book.
Book Bongo is a newsletter and I am sure I submitted my book here for one of there blast outs but again it is very hard to track results from marketing money spent on these. I keep getting emails promoting books that I am not real interested in and I guess I helped pay for a email to put my book on that someone else was not real interested in too.
This is another database newsletter and again I think most of these target hopeful authors the same way as a fishing lure does not need to be made to catch fish, as long as it catches the fishermen that are willing to buy it.
At least this page does provide some helpful links and advice for authors as well as all the marketing.
Not sure but the offer a tweeting package to promote your book I think I might try it and see it is helps people find my book on amazon BUT then just before I hit the pay by paypal button, I decided to search review and Booktweep ......
Then I was very glad I did and I saved some hard earned money. Looks like booktweep is a scam... It is amazing how many of these scam sights are praying on authors who self publish their own book. Always do a search and find reviews that are independent.
